High Contrast B&W

This was done in the studio using intense light from her back left side to get the washed out effect around her. A soft box was used to light the front and get rid of the silhouette caused by lighting the subject from behind.

Early Fashion Work

These photo's represent some of my earlier attempts at fashion/modeling photography. They were taken prior to me having any type of studio or lighting training.

The photo's were taken with a Minolta ST/SI SLR camera using a 28-80mm lens and a Sunpak speedlight. The film I used was Kodak T-Max 100

Ducks In a Row

This is a photo of 3 Mallard Ducks taken at the Oriskany Marsh in the early Spring of 2002.

The photo was taken with my Nikon N80 using my 28-105mm lens.

Night Falls

This was a time exposure taken at Niagara Falls a few years ago. This photo was a semi-finalist in the International Amateur Photography Contest in 2001 and published in their book, Vivid Exposures. This was my first ever published photo.

The photo was taken with my Nikon N80 using my 28-105mm lens. I believe I used Kodak 400 speed film and pushed it to an 800 ISO.

Henry the Hawk

During the spring of 2005, my son and I would see this hawk hanging out on the wires near my parents house. Everyday my son would ask me if we could go to grammy's house so we could see the hawk and most of the time he was there. This went on for about 3 weeks, we think there was a nest of woodchucks he was stalking. He named him Henry the Hawk and said that he was his best friend.

The photo was taken with my Nikon D100 with my 28-105mm lens. I then cropped it closer using Adobe Photoshop.

This is the the other side of the rainbow and field that was in my previous post.

Over the Rainbow

This was a photo taken of a field in Whitestown, NY just after a sun shower. This is probably one of the brightest rainbows I have ever seen.

The photo was taken with my Nikon D100, 28-105mm lens.
